GX-A/GF-A Series overview

The A&D GX-A/GF-A Series (Apollo) is a range of 35 analytical and precision balances offering 0.1 mg (0.0001 g) readability across capacities from 123 g to 10.1 kg. Built around A&D Japan's Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS) technology, the series delivers fast, stable weighing — typically under 1.5 seconds — making it suited to high-throughput laboratory, pharmaceutical, and food-quality work. GX-A models include an internal calibration mass for automatic span adjustment that compensates for ambient temperature change, a practical advantage in UAE laboratory environments; GF-A models use external calibration at a lower price point. Both lines share a stainless-steel pan, a touchless sensor switch to reduce contamination, GLP/GMP/ISO-compatible data output, and A&D's WinCT Windows communication software for direct PC data capture. The Apollo Series replaced the discontinued GX/GF generation and is A&D Gulf's flagship general-purpose weighing line for laboratories, R&D departments, and production QC teams across the UAE and GCC. A&D Gulf supplies the series from stock in Jebel Ali (JAFZA), Dubai, with internationally traceable calibration certificates, UAE & GCC delivery, and factory-trained technical support.

What is the A&D GF-123A precision balance used for?

The GF-123A is the entry-capacity model in A&D Japan's Apollo GX-A/GF-A series. It is used for laboratory sample preparation, food and beverage QC, and jewellery counter weighing where a compact footprint and milligram-level readability are required. Like all Apollo models it uses A&D's Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS) for fast, stable readings.

Does the GF-123A have internal calibration?

No. GF-A models are calibrated with external calibration weights; automatic internal calibration is a GX-A feature. Note there is no GX-A counterpart at the GF-123A's 122 g capacity — in the 0.001 g group the internal-calibration models begin with the GX-203A at 220 g, so specify that if you need self-calibration at 1 mg readability. A&D Gulf supplies calibration weights and provides internationally traceable calibration at our JAFZA laboratory in Dubai.

Is the GF-123A suitable for GLP/GMP-regulated laboratories?

Yes. The Apollo GX-A/GF-A series provides GLP/GMP/ISO-compliant data output and supports A&D's Windows Communication Tools (WinCT) for data capture — A&D Gulf supplies a calibration certificate traceable to recognised national standards — we provide traceable calibration and do not claim ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, so check whether your quality system requires an accredited certificate. Note too that the GF-123A is externally calibrated: if your SOP requires an internal calibration mass, specify a GX-A model.

Is the GF-123A available from stock in the UAE?

Fast-moving Apollo GX-A/GF-A models are held at A&D Gulf's JAFZA warehouse in Dubai and can despatch the same day; the range is wide, so stock varies by model and configuration. Send us the exact model and we will confirm current availability with your quotation. Items not held are ordered from A&D Japan with lead times confirmed on the quotation, and a calibration certificate is available with every instrument.
