What Is a Food Inspection System?
A food inspection system is in-line equipment that checks every product on a running production line against a safety or quality requirement — and automatically rejects what fails. In practice, three checks cover most food factories: metal detection for ferrous and non-ferrous contamination, X-ray inspection for glass, stone, bone, and dense plastics (including count and mass checks through sealed packaging), and checkweighing to guarantee the declared weight of every pack that leaves the line.
In a HACCP plan, these machines are how critical control points for foreign bodies and weight control get implemented: each has defined detection limits, an automatic rejection mechanism, and logged records your auditor can trace. Retail chains and export customers increasingly specify them as a condition of supply.
