Viscometers & Rheometers in the UAE

A viscometer measures how easily a liquid flows — a core quality parameter for everything from inks and paints to syrups and sauces. A&D Japan pioneered the tuning-fork vibro method (Japanese Industrial Standard JIS Z8803): two sensor plates vibrate at 30 Hz, and the drive current needed to hold their amplitude is proportional to viscosity. Unlike a rotational viscometer, there is no spindle to select, no motor torque spring to zero, and no warm-up — and it reads continuously in real time on about 2 mL of sample.

The SV Series is the everyday QC viscometer built on this principle, covering 0.3–10,000 mPa·s. Because it needs so little sample and cleans in seconds, it suits labs running many samples a day across inks, paints, coatings and adhesives, polymers, cosmetics (creams and gels), food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and petrochemicals.
