Every weighing quality system eventually asks: how do you know the balance is right? A reference weight of known accuracy — chosen correctly. Too coarse and the check can't confirm the instrument; too fine and you've overpaid. We stock Class F2 for industrial & trade scales and Class F1 for precision balances, and source E2/E1 for analytical balances (0.1 mg and finer).

The rule (OIML R111): the reference's error should sit at ~⅓ or less of the balance's tolerance. So — tell us the balance model, capacity and readability and we specify the class and denominations, with a certificate traceable to recognised national standards. Calibration Weights FAQ — UAE & GCC

Which weight class do I need for my balance?
Match the class to the instrument: OIML F2 for industrial and trade scales (Class III), F1 for precision balances (Class II, typically 0.1 g–0.01 g), and E2 or E1 for analytical balances (Class I, 0.1 mg and finer). The governing rule (OIML R111) is that the reference weight's maximum permissible error should be no more than about one-third of the balance's tolerance at that point. Send us your balance model and we confirm the right class.
What is the difference between F1 and F2 weights?
The class number reflects the weight's own accuracy — E1 is the tightest, then E2, F1, F2, M1 and so on, each roughly a step wider in permitted error. F1 is accurate enough to check precision balances; F2 is suited to industrial and trade scales. Using a class that is too coarse means your check can't actually confirm the balance; too fine just costs more than needed.
Do you sell single weights or only full sets?
Both. A calibrated set in a case covers a full capacity range for periodic verification, while a single denomination is often all you need for a daily-check weight or to cover one balance's working point. Tell us the capacity and we will quote the sensible option.
Are the weights supplied with calibration documentation?
Yes — weights are supplied with a calibration certificate documenting their conventional mass and traceability to recognised national standards, formatted to support your audit and quality records. (A&D Gulf provides traceable calibration; we do not claim ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.)
Do you supply calibration weights across the UAE and GCC?
