Viscosity measurement is an often-overlooked but critical analytical technique in polymer science, pharmaceutical formulation, food science, and petrochemistry. A&D Japan's SV Series tuning-fork vibro-viscometers use a patented electromagnetic vibration principle that eliminates the spindle, motor, and temperature-sensitive torque spring found in rotational viscometers. The result is a viscometer that measures continuously across the SV range with 1% repeatability, takes samples from as little as 2 mL on the SV-1A, and pairs with an optional water jacket for constant-temperature viscosity-temperature profiling.

Moisture determination by loss-on-drying is standard practice across multiple laboratory disciplines — soil science, materials characterisation, food science, and pharmaceutical QC. A&D's moisture analyzers provide a rapid, highly repeatable alternative to the traditional oven drying method. The MS-70 (0.001% resolution) serves research and pharmaceutical QC applications, while the ML-50 (0.1% resolution) is sized for routine QC screening.
