MS-70 / MX-50 / MF-50 / ML-50 (Moisture Analyzers) overview

The A&D MS-70 / MX-50 / MF-50 / ML-50 are halogen moisture analyzers that determine moisture content by loss-on-drying — heating a sample and calculating the percentage weight loss — with weighing capacities of 50 g to 70 g and resolution to 1 mg. A&D's Secondary Radiation Assist (SRA) filter distributes halogen heat uniformly across the sample surface, reducing hotspots and improving reproducibility for irregular samples such as granules and pellets. The four models step up in capability: ML-50 is the entry tier, with MF-50, MX-50, and the high-end MS-70 adding finer resolution, faster heating control, and data-logging features. With automatic measurement and an RS-232C data interface, the series suits food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and plastics QC where rapid, repeatable moisture determination is required.
