The A&D AD-4991 Series (ProteX) is an X-ray inspection system (5 models) that detects foreign bodies in food and pharmaceutical products on the production line, with capacities of 2 kg–25 kg and conveyor widths from 250 mm to 600 mm. Beyond contaminant detection it performs shape, counting, positioning, and mass-estimation checks, set up via a 15-inch colour touchscreen with three-pass automatic product configuration. Sloped stainless-steel surfaces and a quick-release belt simplify sanitary maintenance, while radiation leakage below 1 µSv/h meets safety standards and an IP66-rated compact design fits food and pharmaceutical lines. HACCP compliant with USB/Ethernet data management, the AD-4991 suits producers needing rigorous, automated foreign-body inspection.
